Compassionate Touch, Lifeline’s financial assistance program, is a part of Lifeline Dallas. The Compassionate Touch program assists patients and their loved ones with such things as housing, meals, transportation, parking, and other non-medical financial needs. Assistance is open to anyone, has no strings attached, and is based solely on financial need. Requests for assistance and screening of applicants will be handled by hospital social workers.

On January 24, 2007, Rosa Winfrey spoke with social workers from Parkland Health & Hospital System, Baylor Hospital, Methodist Dallas Transplant Institute and Children’s Hospital. The social workers are looking forward to Compassionate Touch extending their assistance to patients, who no doubt would go without just the basic needs we sometimes take for granted.
